Gravity inversion tables operate against the negative effects of gravity by strapping a user to a table and then turning her upside down. According to the Galt Tech consumer buyer's guide, these machines purport to decompress your spine, thus reliving back and neck pain. Prior to using a gravity inversion table you must properly assembly it, as it is possible to severally injure yourself if you fall off of the machine while inverted.

Step 1

Unfold the A-frame base assembly and push down on the folding link brackets until they lock into place. Slide the arm rests into the pivot arm brackets at the peak of the A-frame and bolt them in place.

Step 2

Slide the left and right roller hinges into the corresponding sides of the gravity inversion table's main frame and bolt them in place if necessary. Hold the main frame from the front near the roller hinges on either side and lower the hinges into the appropriate brackets on the A-frame. Bolt them in place or secure the self-locking pins over the hinges, depending on what model of gravity inversion table you have.

Step 3

Attach the foot rest to the end of the height adjustment tube. Slide the heel holder and corresponding padding in place and bolt it to the height adjustment tube. Secure the hand lever and ankle holders to the tube if they are not already assembled.

Step 4

Slide the height adjustment tube into the square bracket on the bottom of the main frame. Tighten the adjustment screw into one of the predrilled holes to secure the tube in place. Set the height of the inversion table following the decal on the height adjustment tube.

Step 5

Thread the nylon strap from the back of the main frame through the buckle strap that is attached to the A-frame base. The tighter the nylon strap, the less the table will be inverted when in use. The strap must be disconnected to use the table at full inversion.

Step 6

Check all of the bolts in the assembly once more to ensure they are secured in place. Tip the table by hand to check for smoothness in the movement. Strap yourself in to the inversion table and gradually work your way to different inversion levels until you reach full inversion.
