EAS states that you can use Myoplex Carb Control Shakes to help you meet your daily protein requirements. It claims that the shakes can help you to increase your lean muscle mass, speed up muscle recovery after workouts, improve your strength and control your weight.

Carbohydrates and Sweeteners

EAS formulated the Myoplex Carb Control Shake to fit in with low carbohydrate diets. It has 5 grams (g) total carbohydrates with 2 g fiber. EAS states that it has only 2 g net carbohydrates, which indicate the number of carbohydrates that lead to rapid increases in blood sugar levels. The drink has 1 g sugar, and it uses sugar substitutes to keep the carbohydrate total low. According to Medline Plus, sucralose and acesulfame potassium are artificial sweeteners that do not provide calories or carbohydrates.

Minerals

Each EAS Myoplex Carb Control Shakes provides 20 percent of the daily value for calcium, which is an essential part of bone mineral. Calcium is a nutrient of concern in the 2005 Dietary Guidelines from the Department of Health And Human Services because many Americans are at risk for deficiency and lower bone mineral density. Magnesium is another nutrient of concern, and the shakes provide 25 percent of the daily value.
