The Kettler and Nautilus companies manufacture at home fitness equipment, including stationary bicycles. History

Heinz Kettler founded the Kettler company out of his home country of Germany, in 1949. As of 2010, the Kettler company sells fitness equipment and exercise bikes to over 60 countries across the globe. According to Kettler, 2011 will mark the 30 year anniversary of the United States branch of Kettler, known as Kettler USA. Author Jones established the Nautilus fitness company in the 1960s. According to Mobia, a new branch of Nautilus, Jones released the first piece of Nautilus fitness equipment to the public in 1974.

According to Kettler, the RX7 recumbent bike features an LCD screen that displays the distance you have ridden, as well as the resistance of your workout. The handlebars of the recumbent Kettler allow you to adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals.

Size

The height of the upright and recumbent Nautilus bikes, stands at just over 4 feet. The width of the Nautilus bikes, which measures in at just over 2 feet, enables you to store your exercise bike into the corner of your house or apartment. The recumbent bike from Kettler has a compact size that stands at 3.5 feet. The upright models of the Kettler exercise bike have a height of just over 4 feet.
