Blimpies Nutrition Information

Blimpie opened its first submarine sandwich shop in Hoboken in 1964 and has since spread coast to coast. The company specializes in deli subs, super-stacked subs, hot subs, panini-grilled subs, kids meals and a light menu. Blimpie publishes nutritional information for all of its food, as well as allergen information and healthy dining options at its corporate website.

Deli Subs

Blimpie's deli subs are made with fresh-baked bread or wraps and include roast beef and provolone, the club, and the Blimpie Best, a sandwich with slow-cured ham, salami, cappacola, prosciuttini and provolone. A 12-inch Blimpie Best contains 900 calories, 35g of fat, 105mg of cholesterol and 2,680mg of sodium -- more than the daily recommended amount for a 2,000-calorie diet. A 12-inch roast beef and provolone sandwich includes 870 calories, 29g of fat, 115mg of cholesterol and 2,010mg of sodium.

Super-stacked Subs

Blimpie's super-stacked subs are made with double portions of meat and include hot pastrami, a BLT and a turkey and bacon sandwich. The 12-inch hot pastrami super-stacked sub contains 1,150 calories, 47g of fat, 220mg of cholesterol and 4,290mg of sodium -- nearly twice the recommended daily amount. A 12-inch turkey and bacon super-stacked sub includes 1,250 calories, 57g of fat, 180mg of cholesterol and 5,250mg of sodium, well over double the recommended amount.

Hot Subs

Blimpie's hot sub offerings include the meatball parmigiana, chicken cheddar bacon ranch, grilled chicken teriyaki, and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. A 12-inch meatball parmigiana contains 1,140 calories, 59g of fat, 145mg of cholesterol and 3,790mg of sodium. A similar-sized chicken cheddar bacon ranch includes 1,190 calories, 58g of fat, 175mg of cholesterol and 3,140mg of sodium.

Panini Subs

Blimpie's panini subs are served on grilled ciabatta bread or wraps and include selections such as beef, turkey and cheddar; buffalo chicken; and the Sicilian, which features slow-cured ham, prosciuttini, pepperoni and provolone. The beef, turkey, and cheddar panini contains 520 calories, 24g of fat, 65mg of cholesterol and 1,780mg of sodium. The Sicilian includes 590 calories, 22g of fat, 60mg of cholesterol and 2,170mg of sodium.

Kids Subs

Blimpie's kids menu includes subs made with ham and American cheese, tuna and turkey. A 3-inch ham and American cheese kids sub contains 260 calories, 8g of fat, 15mg of cholesterol and 900mg of sodium. The 3-inch tuna sub includes 280 calories, 11g of fat, 25mg of cholesterol and 460mg of sodium. And a similarly sized turkey sub contains 190 calories, 2.5g of fat, 10mg of cholesterol and 600mg of sodium.

Lighter Stuff

Blimpie's Lighter Stuff menu features sub sandwiches that all contain fewer than 400 calories and 6g of fat. The menu, derived in part to help encourage healthier lifestyles, includes Asian teriyaki chicken, turkey and sweet and spicy mustard, ham and pepper relish, and deli trio subs.

Breakfast

In addition to subs, Blimpie offers a variety of breakfast items, including biscuits, eggs, burritos and grilled sandwiches with different meats. A ham, egg and cheese burrito contains 580 calories, 24g of fat, 355mg of cholesterol and 2,560mg of sodium. A grilled breakfast sandwich with bacon has 480 calories, 23g of fat, 335mg of cholesterol and 1,620mg of sodium.
