All of the resort have sites with full hookups, cable television and wireless Internet service. Briarcliffe also has telephone and modem connections. Additionally, Lakewood has modem connections as well.
Resort Activities
Participating in planned activities and swimming in the pool are activities that you can enjoy in all of the parks. In Briarcliffe and Lakewood, you can play horseshoes, shuffleboard and basketball. Briarcliffe and Pirateland offer mini golf and in Pirateland, you can also play basketball and go surf or lake fishing. Additionally, you can challenge friends to a game of volleyball in Lakewood.
Facilities and Amenities
Briarcliffe has lighted posts at each site, 24-hour security, a gated entrance, a playground, two bathhouses and two laundry rooms. The park also has a clubhouse and sites with a patio and picnic table.
Lakewood's facility amenities include a kid's club from June to late August, a beach-front playground, an amphitheater, an activity center, a camp fire pit, a conference center, an arcade and a cafe.
Pirateland offers a 510-foot lazy river, camp store, snack bar, an outdoor chapel with Sunday service, beach lifeguards and paddle boats, beach chairs, umbrellas and golf cart rentals. You'll also find an arcade, recreation rooms, trailer storage, a laundromat, bathhouses with heat and air conditioning, 24-hour security, a fish-cleaning facility and a propane station.
Health and Fitness Attractions
You'll enjoy spending the day in 312-acre Myrtle Beach State Park, which offers activities such as fishing from the pier or surf fishing, horseback riding from November through February or hiking along a nature trail.
Minutes from Myrtle Beach, visit Barefoot Landing, where you can stroll along the boardwalk or play golf in Barefoot Resort Golf Course.
In 2,500-acre Huntington Beach State Park, about 30 minutes away, activities include fishing and walking along the boardwalk and hiking interpretive trails.
