Permanent makeup application involves injecting color pigments into the skin to look like makeup. It is the same as tattooing except for the purpose and location on the skin. Common applications include permanent eyebrow pencil, lip liner, eyeliner and blush, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Other less-common applications are lip color and beauty marks. If you do not like the results, you have a few options for correcting bad permanent makeup.
Step 1
Cover up the bad permanent makeup with daily application of temporary makeup. Select a complete-coverage foundation that effectively covers the tattoos. Apply the foundation to the skin in an even layer, and massage it into the skin. Set the foundation by brushing on a light coat of loose powder. Apply lip liner, eyeliner and brow pencil over the foundation to create a new makeup look. Apply the rest of your makeup as usual.
Step 2
Talk to a dermatologist about permanent makeup removal. Remove permanent makeup with laser resurfacing over several sessions.
Step 3
Find a new permanent makeup artist to correct the application. Tattoo over the poor job with a new application that matches your desires more closely.
