If you are hosting a party, your guests are more likely to have a memorable and enjoyable time if you supply them with food. Party food is less formal than dinner party food, so you do not need to spend a sizable amount of time and money preparing items. Party food menus typically feature finger foods that guests can pluck from serving trays and eat without utensils.

Warm Dates with Goat Cheese and Jamon Serrano

The warm dates with goat cheese and jamon serrano can be created hours before your guests arrive, which frees up time and reduces your stress level. According to Divine Dinner Party, stuff the dates with 1 tsp. goat cheese and then wrap each with a basil leaf. Wrap a thin slice of jamon serrano around the date and stab a toothpick through each to ensure the jamon serrano stays on. Pop the dish into the broiler for three to four minutes. Guests can eat this appetizer with the toothpicks and discard them in a bowl you leave on the table.

English Muffin Pizzas

Allowing guests to create their own party food adds an element of fun not usually seen at parties. English muffin pizzas, as described by BirthdayPartyIdeas4Kids.com, start with an English muffin as the crust, and the rest is up to the individual creating the pizza. Set out bowls of various sauces, such as tomato, pesto, barbecue or ranch dressing, next to a large bowl of mozzarella cheese. You can set out chopped vegetables and meats, such as pepperoni and salami, as toppings as well. Set up a toaster oven nearby that guests can use to cook their English muffin pizzas.

Super Nachos

Super nachos allow guests to create nachos that include more than just tortilla chips and cheese. According to Great Party Recipes, spread a layer of bean dip on a large serving tray and put a layer of tortilla chips on top of that. Next, layer cheese over the chips and add your choice of ground beef, carnitas or chicken. Microwave your dish for 10 minutes to melt the cheese and warm the beans. Remove the dish from the microwave and put your choice of vegetables on top. Provide small bowls of condiments, such as sour cream and guacamole, for guests to use.
