Speed-Shaper Exercises

The Speed-Shaper, also referred to as Power Shaper, is an exercise tool that targets the waist, hips, underarms and thighs. The Speed-Shaper program is designed to tone your body by performing exercises for short increments to tighten problem areas. The Speed-Shaper is small and portable, so you can do the toning exercise anywhere.

Waist and Arms

This exercise works to tone the sides of the waist and arms. Stand with feet shoulders-width apart with both stirrups on one foot and arms at your sides. Hold the handles on the same side as the foot in the stirrup. Pull up on the exerciser with your arm and bend sideways from the waist in the opposite direction. Repeat four times and hold for a count of three each time, then switch sides.

Upper Arms and Upper Back

The movement in this exercise squeezes your arms and back to build muscle. Start with your feet shoulders-width apart with your arms straight overhead holding the exerciser. Grip the stirrups with each hand and pull your arms open. Fight against the resistance of the exerciser and contract your back and arm muscles. Release and repeat five times while holding for a count of three, then switch sides.

Hips and Thighs

This exercise contracts the thigh muscles to tone up the area. Lie on your back with a foot in each stirrup. Hold each the grips with each hand. Extend one leg sideways five times. Hold for three-second counts for each one. Repeat on the opposite leg.

Outer Thighs

Performing this exercise will target the outer thigh muscle for a slimmer appearance. Place one foot in each stirrup and lie on one side. Lean on one arm. Hold the stirrups with your free hand. Squeeze the top leg up five times and hold for three seconds each time. Repeat on the opposite leg.
