Cholesterol and saturated fats are not desirable constituents of a healthy diet as they are believed to be linked to an increased risk of heart disease. Cholesterol builds up on the walls of the blood vessels that supply the heart muscle reducing their diameter. As a result less blood and hence oxygen can reach the heart muscle so that it becomes diseased and less able to work.

Calcium is essential for the maintenance of strong bones and teeth and to help your muscles contract. Iron is part of the hemoglobin in your red blood cells that carries oxygen to all your cells and maintains life.
