The Zone Diet is intended to help manage weight and balance hormones and insulin levels. All Zone meals are carefully planned so dieters are on a consistent eating schedule. A Zone Diet breakfast should contain more protein and complex carbohydrates, so dieters have improved blood sugar control. Many dieters either eat ready-made Zone breakfast products or cook breakfast dishes following the Zone dietary guidelines.

Other flavors of Zone breads include cinnamon swirl and white loaf. Zone breads are very versatile breakfast item. Zone dieters can make homemade French toast with egg whites or serve toasted bread as a side dish.

Zone granola is made with a special protein blend, peanut butter, butter, vanilla brown sugar and oats. It also contains less sugar than most conventional granola brands, since some sugar is replaced with sucralose. One bag of granola contains 200 calories and 14 g of protein. Dieters can eat it plain or layer it as a breakfast parfait with other ingredients like yogurt or fruit.

Zone Breakfast Cereal

Zone Breakfast Cereal is sweetened toasted flake cereal with granola clusters and almonds. Unlike other conventional breakfast cereals, it was formulated to have a very low glycemic index. Fruits

Dieters buy fresh fruits and vegetables to complete their weekly meal plans. Many dieters enjoy eating fresh fruits for breakfast. However, fruit cannot be eaten alone and must be paired with protein. Dieters can make fruit smoothies using Zone protein powder. Otherwise, they can eat sliced fruit as a breakfast side dish.

Egg Dishes

Many Zone dieters make popular egg dishes for breakfast, such as omelets, quiches and Huevos Rancheros. By substituting egg whites for whole eggs, dieters can still eat their favorite breakfast dishes while on the Zone diet.
