Blue Chips Group, Inc. makes gluten-free foods under the Augason Farms brand. With the rising awareness of gluten intolerance, gluten-free foods are becoming more popular. You will find gluten in grains such as wheat, barley and rye, according to MayoClinic.com. This makes many common foods like bread and cookies off limits for people with a gluten intolerance. Augason Farms makes gluten-free mixes for breakfast items such as pancakes, scones and muffins as well as mixes for desserts and breads. You can also buy gluten-free flours.

Breakfast Mixes

Since flour is a key ingredient of pancakes, scones and muffins, those with gluten intolerance rarely get to enjoy these simple foods. Non-gluten flours such as white rice flour, tapioca flour and soy flour are used in the products made by the Blue Chip Group.

Products include mixes to make blueberry pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, western scones, buttermilk biscuits, raspberry muffins, blueberry muffins and almond poppy seed muffins. These mixes may include allergens such as eggs, dairy and soy. These are not suitable for vegans. The products may cost more than mixes that contain gluten, with the average mix priced around $5.

Dessert Mixes

Gluten-free desserts are hard to come by as favorites such as cookies and brownies usually are made with white flour. Even pies and cakes are off limits unless made with alternatives such as brown or white rice flours. Gluten-free mixes from the Blue Chip Group allow people to make their own chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip brownies, angel food cake, yellow cake, chocolate cake and a gluten-free pie crust. The company also sells a basic cookie mix that you can add items like nuts, candies, raisins or coconut to so you can enjoy your favorite flavors. A bag of this basic mix costs $5.47.

Bread Mixes

Bread mixes from the Blue Chip Group allow you to make French bread, foccacia bread and pizza dough gluten-free. A 26-oz. bag of Gluten-Free French Bread Mix costs $4.08. You can use it to make loaves of bread, breadsticks or rolls. Its base is fine white rice flour and tapioca flour/starch. Also for sale is the Gluten Free Pizza & Foccacia Dough Mix for $5.33. It uses the same base.

Flours

You can buy your own gluten-free flours and lecithin products to make your own gluten-free foods. Products include Bette's original flour, brown rice flour, tapioca flour/starch, lecithin granules, lecithin powder and potato starch.
