There are many ways to get toned, tight thighs. You may have a photo shoot coming up, have a great pair of jeans that will not budge past your thighs, or have an evening gown with a very high slit. No matter what the reason, there is definitely a solution. Some of these methods may be painful, expensive or out of the ordinary. Choose what works for you and enjoy your results.
Step 1
Perform lunges. Lunges are an excellent exercise that slim thighs fast. Go to an outdoor area or wide open space (preferably a track) and jog one lap to warm up legs. Afterward, perform walking lunges along the straight-aways. Make sure to keep a 90 degree angle with both legs when lunging. When coming up from the lunge, always keep the weight of the body on your heels.
Speed walk the curves. Speed walking works every muscle in the legs especially the inner and outer thighs. Walk quickly keeping one foot on the ground at all times. Switch your hips and pump your arms. The more movement, more muscles are worked, and more calories burned. Do not run as running can sometimes add bulk to the legs. Do this exercise three to five laps around the track. If a track is not available, perform around perimeter of home, inside a gym, up and down the street, around a field, be creative.
Step 2
Dance. Dancing is an excellent way to get long lengthy looking legs. Classes, such as ballet, jazz or ballroom dance, give the legs a great workout. Many positions in dance require full leg extension and pointing of the toes while constantly moving across the dance floor.
Try holding your leg up while pointing your toes for 30 seconds. Feel the burn? Now enroll in an hour long class five days a week and see how your legs feel and look in the end.
Step 3
Consider hemorrhoid cream. Aside from it's intended usage, hemorrhoid cream has been recommended for puffy eyes, wrinkles, acne and cellulite because it reduces swelling. Why not use it for your legs? However, this is not recommended for long-term use. This is an "every-now-and-then" remedy for things, such as a red carpet event, photo shoot or an outfit to be worn for a particular day.
The night before your event, smear a thin layer of hemorrhoid cream around each thigh. Do not apply excessive amounts of cream. More cream will only create a mess, not better results. Wrap plastic wrap around each thigh and remove in the morning. Although this has worked for some, it does not work for everybody.
Step 4
Try cellulite cream. Cellulite around your legs may cause your legs to look thick, uneven, lumpy and larger. Applying a cellulite cream regularly to the thighs may help smooth out the fat pockets, creating a smooth and slim look.
Step 5
Get a spray tan. Spray tanning is an excellent method to give the illusion of slim legs. An expert spray tanning technician should be able to spray contouring lines to make the thighs look thin from certain angles. This is great for photo shoots and when wearing bathing suits or leotards.
Step 6
Consider liposuction. Liposuction may be the more expensive way to go when trying to achieve slim thighs, however it can produce fast results. Liposuction is simply the removal of fat from deposits under the skin using a hollow stainless steel tube (cannula) with the assistance of a powerful vacuum. It is highly recommended you try the previous methods before consulting with a surgeon. Liposuction is a very serious procedure and can have many negetive affects if not performed the right way. Also, be sure to do your research when selecting a doctor.
Tips and Warnings
- Your diet plays an important role regardless what method you choose to slim your thighs. Always consume at least 1200 calories per day. Fill your diet with healthy choice,s such as fruits and vegetables, and try to avoid fast food, donuts, chips and calorie-laden snacks.
