Bowflex is a well-known manufacturer of fitness equipment. Pieces included in the Bowflex line are home gym systems and the TreadClimber, a type of cardio exercise machine. The equipment is designed for the home and can fit in compact spaces. Bowflex workout systems can cost upwards of $1,000 for a new set. To save money, you can instead buy a cheap Bowflex.
Step 1
Check for sales directly through the manufacturer. Throughout the season, particularly in the winter months, you'll find great specials on their machines. Use promotional codes supplied on the Bowflex website (see Resources) and take advantage of free shipping when offered on select items.
Step 2
Bid on a Bowflex through an auction site. Auction sites such as eBay are great ways to find cheap Bowflex workout equipment. Sellers will have both new and used versions available. Look for sellers that offer local pickup as a way to save money on delivery.
Step 3
Buy a refurbished Bowflex. Bowflex machines that have been refurbished will work perfectly but may have a few cosmetic flaws. Refurbished items are also typically covered under a warranty, while a used version will not be. Overstock.com has refurbished Bowflex home gym systems available for sale.
Step 4
Purchase a used Bowflex unit. Used versions are available through classified ads as well as garage sales. If you go online, you can buy a used Bowflex for a cheap price through CM Fitness (see Resources).
Tips and Warnings
- Once you purchase a cheap Bowflex, you may be responsible for assembling the unit. It will cost you extra to pay for someone else to assemble the machine.
