A supplement that claims to be able to "jump start" your weight-loss program, Puranol supplements are sold as detoxifying agents made of all-natural ingredients. The manufacturers suggest that weight loss is inhibited by toxins in the body, and these toxins retard the effectiveness of your immune system. The Puranol Cleansing System carries the five-day detoxification cleanser and an immunity booster. Also available is the Carbohydrate Neutralizer, the Pre-diet Flush, and Puranol24, which is said to be a combination metabolic enhancer and appetite suppressor.
The Puranol Cleansing System
Purported to remove extra waste and toxins from the body within five days, the five-day cleansing system requires that you take three tablets in the morning and the evening for five days. Colon Health Magazine warns that this product contains cascara sagrada bark, a component that could cause adverse reactions in some people. This detoxification is suggested as a once-per-month activity. Only on finishing the five-day cleansing should you begin taking the immune booster. The immune booster is two tablets each day, all the time, except during the monthly five-day cleansing.
The Carbohydrate Neutralizer
Although not included in the start-up kit, it is recommended that the carbohydrate neutralizer be taken together with the immune booster. Its job is to block the conversion of carbohydrates into fats, while simultaneously suppressing your appetite and boosting your immune system. One or two tablets before lunch and dinner each day when you are not doing the five-day cleansing is required. The manufacturers proudly point out that there is no Ephedra in this product. Ephedra, or Ma hung, is a plant from which ephedrine alkaloids can be extracted. It was widely used as a weight-loss and athletic performance aid. The Food and Drug Administration has prohibited the sale of supplements containing Ephedra,based on the conclusion that its use posed a health risk.
The Pre-Diet Flush
This liquid formula, boasting a citrus flavor, is proposed as a 48-hour regime to prepare your body for your chosen diet. It is meant to remove toxins and waste that will prevent optimal results from your diet. Four ounces of this concentrated supplement is mixed with 4 oz. of water, and the diluted mixture is to be drunken slowly over four hours. This is repeated four times per day for 48 hours.
Puranol24
Puranol24 is purported to have a unique ability to suppress your appetite and enhance your immune system during the day, and keep your metabolism going at night so the fat-fighting process does not stop while you sleep. The manufacturers claim that it will keep you energized during the day, and you will sleep better at night, all while promoting weight loss. The formulation is intended to cleanse and support liver health.
Considerations
Ridding the body of toxins, losing weight, sleeping well and feeling good are all admirable aspirations, and the line of Puranol supplements claim to be able to help you achieve these goals. The Colon Health Magazine review of Puranol states the products are made in government-approved labs and, at the time of the review, had not received any significant amount of negative press or consumer reviews.
