The LA Weight Loss program sells the idea that with proper education and support you can buy food at a grocery store or eat out and lose weight. For a fee that ranges between five and nine dollars weekly, you are assigned a personal counselor who will tailor a weight loss plan to your needs. The plan will include not only a nutritional program but also exercise and counseling. Your plan will get refined throughout its life cycle to ensure your weight loss goals are met.

A Three-Phased Approach

The LA Weight Loss Plan has three phases that, if followed correctly, will lead to sustained weight loss. The first phase focuses on losing the weight by restricting dieters to a reduced-calorie diet that includes anywhere from 1,100 to 1,800 calories daily. Once the first phase is complete and the weight loss goal is reached, dieters enter a six-week stabilization phase, where a greater variety of foods and less calorie restrictions are introduced. The third phase involves counseling to help maintain a healthy weight.

LA Weight Loss focuses on healthy portion control and teaches dieters to follow a personalized regimen based on meals that contain 45 percent carbohydrates, 35 to 40 percent protein, and 20 percent fat. Dieters consume less food and calories in a balanced way that leads to long-term weight loss if properly sustained.
