Facial capillaries are tiny blood vessels that are visible directly under the skin. While most capillaries do not cause any distress, a few may become more noticeable and cause embarrassment. Capillaries become more prominent due to factors such as harsh climate conditions, alcohol and cigarette use, genetics and excessive heat. Those who suffer from rosacea, an inflammatory skin disorder that causes facial redness, have a propensity to develop noticeable facial capillaries. Check with your doctor to ascertain which treatment is appropriate for your skin.

Step 1

Cover the capillaries with cosmetic cover-up, foundation or pressed powder. Try to match the shade of makeup as closely to your skin tone as possible.

Step 2

Use a moisturizing cream that includes vitamin K. According to Melbourne Dermatology, vitamin K helps improve circulation and is an essential vitamin needed for circulatory health.

Step 3

Use cayenne pepper daily to improve circulation, as noted by the University of Maryland Medical Center. Cayenne pepper can be taken as a supplement or used in foods or drinks.

Step 4

Talk to a dermatologist about laser therapy to destroy the bothersome capillaries. Laser therapy works by treating the capillary with both light and heat that destroys its structure. The dead capillary is absorbed by the body and discarded.

Step 5

Undergo electrosurgery. During electrosurgery the capillary is prodded with an electrical current that destroys it. This method is quick but can be painful. A small scab will form where the capillary was.
