Cosamin DS is the brand name of a glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate supplement manufactured by Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate supplements are used for joint health by people with arthritis or other degenerative joint conditions. Cosamin DS is a clinical-strength product and has been used in several clinical studies. The decision to take any medication must be made by weighing the relative benefits and risks. Allergic Reactions
Allergic reactions, including serious anaphylactic reactions, are possible with any medication, prescription or over-the-counter. Drug Interactions
If you are taking a blood thinner or insulin, or are on a low-salt diet, talk with your doctor before taking any glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate supplement. Supplements containing chitosan can interfere with chondroitin absorption.
