A successful weight loss plan usually incorporates two things: healthy eating habits and exercise. Losing weight does not only require that you reduce your calorie intake but that you burn more calories than you consume. In order to accomplish this goal you'll need to choose foods that contribute to your body's ability to burn fat while at the same time ensuring you receive the nutritious benefits you need.
Eggs
Eggs, while small, are incredibly powerful when it comes to burning fat and calories. First, eggs have very high levels of protein which will help to increase your energy levels so that you can burn extra fat and calories. Eggs also contain high levels of the B12 vitamin, another great nutrient for breaking down fat cells.
Eggs aren't as bad for you as you might believe. While scientists believe eggs have a negative impact on cholesterol levels it really doesn't impact your bad cholesterol levels as much as once believed. Eating egg whites without the yolk will give you the protein and B12 benefits you're looking for, without too much cholesterol.
Milk and Dairy Products
Dairy products, especially milk, are full of calcium, a mineral essential to increasing your metabolism. Milk contains healthy, complex carbohydrates and, when consumed daily, will help to regulate your blood sugar levels. An increased metabolism and lower blood sugar level will help you to burn more calories while preventing excess fat storage in your body.
Cayenne Pepper
Cayenne pepper is a great calorie burner because it promotes what is known as a thermodynamic burn within the body, raising your body temperature and heart rate along with your metabolism for an extended period of time (usually 2 or 3 hours) after consumption. When coupled with lean proteins, like chicken, the cayenne pepper will help your body to properly process fat so that it can be absorbed or eliminated.
Add cayenne pepper to your diet gradually at first so that you can get used to its warming effects. Make sure you stay away from celebrity fad diets like the Cayenne Pepper Diet or the Lemon Cayenne Pepper Diet--both of which claim cleansing with cayenne pepper drinks is effective. These diets won't give you the proper nutrition your body needs.
Green Tea
Green tea is another great addition your diet if you're looking to burn extra calories. The tea contains EGCG, a chemical that stimulates the nervous system and will, in turn, boost your metabolism so that you can burn more fat and calories. Green tea is not "caffeine" but is sometimes combined with caffeine for an extra calorie-burning effect.
