Fast weight loss can be a dangerous endeavor to undertake. If done improperly it can result in long-lasting health problems and maybe even life-threatening problems. If performed properly and under medical supervision fast weight loss can improve your appearance, health and energy levels.
Sodium
Sodium is a hindrance in your weight-loss goals. The presence of sodium in your system causes a retention of water. Water retention brings about bloating and weight gain. By removing or reducing the sodium levels of your diet you reduce your water weight. A diet rich in sodium can also bring about high blood pressure.
Water
The human body's only requirement for adequate hydration is water. If you want to lose weight quickly the experts at the Mayo Clinic recommend avoiding all liquid calories. According to studies published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition cutting the same amount of liquid calories resulted in five times the weight loss compared to the cutting of the same amount of food calories. Examples of products with liquid calories are milk, juice, sugar-sweetened coffee, sugar sweetened tea and alcoholic beverages.
Liposuction
Liposuction is the least invasive surgical option for quick weight loss. This procedure is conducted under local or general anesthesia. During the procedure subcutaneous fatty tissue is suctioned out from under the skin through a small incision. This treatment takes up to four hours and rarely requires hospital stay. The only medical drawbacks to this procedure are the fact that only limited amounts of fat can be removed during one procedure and there are minor risks for surgical complications.
Exercise
Exercise is also an option that can induce fast weight loss. Aerobic exercise is the best type of exercise for losing weight quickly. Aerobic exercises burn more calories than resistance training. Aerobic exercises done immediately after waking up burn fat from the very start of the workout as long as they are performed before a meal.
Diet
To assist you in your fast weight-loss goals you should lower the amount of calories you eat. This can be done by eating smaller portion sizes or changing the composition of your diet. If you want lose weight quickly, your protein and fiber intake should be increased. While your intake of carbohydrates and fat should be decreased.
