Apple Juicy Juice is 100 percent juice, and its color comes from natural sources with no synthetic dyes. Juicy Juice is manufactured by the Nestle company, and all their juices and nectars are pasteurized by a heating process that destroys microorganisms. Juicy Juice Apple Juice comes in bottles, cans, concentrate mix and two sizes of juice box that fit well in a child's lunch box.

Apple Juice Concentrate

Apple Juicy Juice contains 100 percent juice. It is made from 100 percent fruit juice with no added sugar. The only fruit in this apple juice is apple with no other fruit juices added. The fruit juice concentrates used in Apple Juicy Juice contain only fructose, a natural sugar, and no other sweeteners.

In a discussion with CafeMom, a Juicy Juice representative said some of their ingredients come from China, which provides 50 percent of the apple juice used in the United States. Nestlé, the manufacturer of Juicy Juice, is one of the world's largest apple juice buyers and has established long-term relationships with juice producers in China. Nestle tests every lot of apple juice and all the facilities are evaluated regularly to be sure they meet Juicy Juice standards.

Ascorbic Acid

An 8 oz. serving of Apple Juicy Juice provides 120 percent of the Food and Drug Administration's recommended daily value of vitamin C. The body needs vitamin C to facilitate tissue growth and repair. It helps the body produce the protein collagen, which is involved in creating skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. Vitamin C is also essential for healing wounds and for maintaining and repairing bones and teeth. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that's not stored by the body, according to University of Maryland Medical Center, so people must get the vitamin C they need from the food they eat. Vitamin C is also an antioxidant.

Malic Acid

Juicy Juice contains a substance called malic acid, which is found naturally in vegetables and fruits, and is especially abundant in apples. Malic acid is present in the cells of your body which produces and breaks down large amounts of the substance every day. The Healthier Life website says the health-related benefits of malic acid include sustaining oral health, promoting healthy skin, boosting immunity and reducing the build-up of toxic metals in the body.
