Warnings
Place the NordicTrack EXP 1000XL treadmill on a flat, level surface. Keep the treadmill indoors. Persons weighing more than 250 lbs. should not use the treadmill. Do not use an extension cord. Do not move the walking belt while the power is off. Do not use the treadmill if you notice any damage to treadmill parts, including the power cord. Unplug the power cord after use, before cleaning and before servicing the treadmill.
Prevention/Solution
Tighten all bolts as necessary before using; inspect for loose bolts before each use. Plug the treadmill into a 120-volt grounded outlet. For the best protection from electrical surges, plug your treadmill into a surge protector. Use the provided allen wrench to adjust the walking belt as necessary; check the walking belt's tension regularly. Align the reed switch with the magnet located underneath the motor hood to prevent console issues. Recalibrate the incline if it doesn't change correctly when using the treadmill.
