Pizza is a popular food item at parties and family gatherings. Papa Murphy's Pizza is a food chain that has a Take 'N' Bake concept. Instead of getting a hot pizza when you walk through the doors, you get a pre-made pizza that you take home and bake yourself. If you are making changes to your diet, but still want to factor in this type of pizza, you should know the nutrient content.

Carb Content

Papa Murphy's, and all types of pizza for that matter, have crust on the bottom, which causes it to be high in carbs. One slice of a family size cheese pizza, weighing 153 g, contains 30 g of carbs.

Size

The calories vary in Papa Murphy's pizzas. The Cowboy pizza, for example, is very high. It is a three cheese pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage, which increase the caloric content. A single slice contains 370 calories. A slice of Veggie Delight pizza, on the other hand, contains only 152 calories per slice.

Significance

Cholesterol is composed of LDL and HDL, and it is used by the body for hormone and cell production. In addition to the LDL produced naturally by your body, saturated fat, trans-fatty acids and dietary cholesterol can also raise blood cholesterol according to the American Heart Association. The acronym "LDL" stands for low-density lipoprotein, which is the bad type of cholesterol. The fat and cholesterol contents vary with Papa Murphy's pizzas. The Cowboy pizza, for example, contains 19 g of total fat, 7 g of saturated fat and 35 mg of cholesterol per slice. A Hawaiian Delight thin crust pizza however, contains 7 g of total fat, 4 g of saturated fat and 25 mg of cholesterol per slice.

Protein Content

The protein content varies with Papa Murphy's pizza, depending on additional ingredients. Pizzas that contain meat have higher protein contents. A slice of Barbecue Chicken Delight contains 17 g of protein per slice. A Gourmet Veggie Delight, on the other hand, has only 8 g per slice.

Effects

Sodium is an electrolyte mineral that helps to regulate blood volume and aids in muscle contractions. In some people, sodium can have a negative effect on blood pressure. Most Americans should limit their intake to 2,300 mg a day, and African Americans, older Americans and people with high blood pressure should limit the sodium in their diet to 1,500 mg per day, according to the Family Doctor website. A slice of stuffed chicken and bacon pizza contains just under 800 mg of sodium. If you ate three slices, you would be over the recommended intake.
