Lakes, reservoirs and ponds pepper the state of Ohio. Many have wild fish; more receive stocked fish from hatcheries throughout the state. The main distinction between a reservoir and a lake is that reservoirs can be natural or man-made, they serve as containment for agricultural and drinking water and they often have no continuous outflow feeding creeks or rivers. Medina County has several such reservoirs, and many attract fishermen throughout much of the year, as fishing licenses are not necessary on Ohio's reservoirs.
