Proactiv is a prominent, over-the-counter acne fighting regimen. Proactiv contains natural botanical ingredients such as chamomile and aloe. One of the active ingredients of Proactiv---benzoyl peroxide---helps to destroy the bacteria housed within your acne blemishes. The Proactiv system consists of three acne-fighting steps that include cleansing and moisturizing your face. Following the recommended Proactiv procedures will help you on your way to acne-free skin.

Step 1

Dampen your entire face using warm water. Lift the cap of the Proactiv Renewing Cleanser. Squeeze a dime-sized amount of the cleanser into the palm of your arm. Rub the coarse cleanser gently over your face using the tips of your fingers. Repeat the massaging process for one to two minutes.

Step 2

Place your cotton cloth under a flow of warm water. Squeeze the cloth to remove any excess moisture. Remove the Renewing Cleanser from your face with the cotton cloth to complete the exfoliating process. Dry your face by patting the skin with a clean towel.

Step 3

Raise the cap on the Revitalizing Toner bottle. Place a cotton ball over the opening at the top of the bottle. Rotate the bottle sideways and squeeze a small amount of the toner into the cotton ball. Rub the toner-filled cotton ball over your entire face. Allow the toner adequate time to dry.

Step 4

Lift the cap of the Proactiv Repairing Treatment. Squeeze a small amount of the Repairing Treatment onto your fingertip.

Step 5

Rub the moisturizing lotion over your entire face to hydrate your skin. Allow the lotion to dry on your skin.

Step 6

Repeat the Proactiv three-step process twice a day to minimize the appearance of your acne blemishes.
