Detox pads are intended to be applied directly to the bottom of your feet at night before bed. While you sleep the pads are purported to extract toxins from your body. When you remove the pads in the morning they will be discolored --- this is considered a sign that they worked. While the idea of using foot pads to effortlessly detoxify your body while you sleep might sound appealing, there is no medical research to back the claims made by manufactures. Nonetheless, there are several brands of foot detox pads available, and there are a few in particular that are the most popular among consumers.

Kinoki

Kinoki Cleansing Detox Foot Pads come in a box of 14. They are intended to cleanse and energize your body using the "natural power of nature." While you sleep, Kinoki foot pads reportedly absorb impurities from your body and deposit them into the pads. These pads are made in Japan from ingredients such as bamboo vinegar, tourmaline, detoxifying herbs and emollient base. The manufacturer claims that these pads are intended to remove heavy metal metabolic waste.

Verseo

Verseo sells detox foot patches in boxes of 2, 10 or 30. They contain natural ingredients that are intended to remove toxins and help you sleep, stimulate circulation, support your immune system, detoxify your skin and lymphatic system, relieve arthritis pain, soothe headaches, reduce stress and increase overall vitality and energy. Verseo also uses essential oils such as peppermint, to give the foot patches a relaxing scent.

BodyPure

The manufacturer of BodyPure detox foot pads states that these pads were developed based on medical research from Japan. The ingredients of BodyPure pads include bamboo vinegar extract, houttuynia cordata extract, loquat leaf extract, tourmaline, diatomaceous earth, citronella, dextrin, vegetable fiber and vitamin C. According to BodyPure, the sole of your foot corresponds with your kidneys, liver and spleen through energetic channels. Applying the pad to this area of your foot is said to "draw out" toxins from these organs.
