Marie Callender offers a number of ready-to-serve meals, from appetizers and entrees to desserts. Among the desserts the brand offers is key lime pie, a dessert which originated in the Florida keys. Despite the inclusion of fruit, this pie is not particularly healthy.
Calories
Although limes are low in calories, key lime pie is not -- the online nutrition information resource MyFitnessPal notes that one slice, defined as one-tenth of the pie, contains 340 calories. The Mayo Clinic notes that you could burn off those calories in an hour of playing baseball.
Fat
One of the reasons that Marie Callender's key lime pie is high in calories is because of its high fat content. Each slice contains 16 g of fat, according to MyFitnessPal. Of this fat, 8 g comes from saturated fat, which accounts for half of the daily recommended intake of saturated fat, according to the American Heart Association.
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates contribute substantially to the calories in Marie Callender's version of key lime pie. MyFitnessPal's information notes that each slice contains 45 g of carbohydrates. Of these carbohydrates, 35 g come from sugar, while none come from fiber, a nutrient that helps you feel full.
Protein
Marie Callender's key lime pie is a poor source of protein, with only 5 g per slice. Because protein provides four calories per gram, this means protein makes up only 20 calories, or about six percent of the calories in each slice.
