How to Clean the Body Internally With a Natural Diet

Many people seek out fad diets to lose weight, but many of those regimens just don't work. However, cleansing the body by adopting an all-natural diet can work wonders for improving the functioning of your digestive system and body as a whole as well as encourage you to shed pounds. The weight loss is secondary, however. The important part of a natural cleanse is how much better you feel afterward.

Step 1

Avoid any food made from artificial ingredients. Natural foods will cleanse the inside of your body the most, so eliminate artificial and processed foods from your diet as much as possible. They often contain toxins or substances that are not easy to digest, causing toxins to build up.

Step 2

Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. Regular filtered water is best to thoroughly clean out your body and flush away accumulated toxins.

Step 3

Make fresh vegetables and fruits the bulk of your diet. Opt for organic produce as much as possible. This way your body doesn't have to work very hard to digest foods and can instead focus on expelling toxins from your system. You will likely find that you need to eat a lot of produce to stay full. This is to be expected.

Step 4

Eat fresh fruit for breakfast each morning. Make sure it is a very dense fruit that's filled with water. This ensures your system stays hydrated and gets a burst of energy to start your day.

Step 5

Maintain the habit of eating fruits and vegetables for a week. Watery stools are to be expected during this time. Transitioning back to a normal diet should be done gradually, so as to not shock your system. Introduce high-fiber grains first before moving to lean meats. Some people use a natural diet and cleanse like this to transition into a vegetarian or vegan diet, but that is not necessary for a good cleanse.

Tips and Warnings

  • Consult with your doctor before starting a new diet or cleanse program.
