Atomic Snowboard Rating

While Atomic may be better known for its skis, the company has been making snowboards in its Austrian factory since 1992, and Atomic snowboards have been on the public market since 2001. Atomic snowboards product director Eric Pearson promises that Atomic snowboards are built and tested by snowboarders, not skiers.

Atomic Snowboards 2011 Models

As of 2011, Atomic snowboards come in 13 different models. Three of Atomic snowboards' most popular models are also available as a wide board: the Vantage, the Alibi and the Hatchet. One model, the Pivot, is also available as a junior board.

Atomic Snowboards in Powder

Most Atomic snowboards are made for both park riding and freestyle riding conditions on the mountain. Several Atomic snowboard models come with Powder Rock Popper -- a feature that lifts the nose up when weight is applied to the board's camber -- to keep you on top of the powder.

Atomic Snowboard Prices

The cost of Atomic snowboards for model-year 2011 ranges from $175 for models such as the Tika or Terminal to $400 for models such as the Hatchet or Alibi. With plenty of models in mid-range prices, Atomic snowboards are affordable compared to other snowboard brands.
