The Everlast hand wrap is a common addition to a boxer's supplies. They are useful in protecting your hands while boxing and help ensure the boxing gloves fit properly. However, getting the wraps on your hands securely and in a fashion that protects the vulnerable parts such as your wrists, knuckles and thumbs is crucial for a successful boxing session.

Step 1

Stretch your hand out in front of you, palm down, with the fingers wide. Put the end of the wrap on the base of the thumb on the palm.

Step 2

Pull the wrap around the thumb once, then bring it back to the starting place. Repeat this four more times.

Step 3

Move the wrap around the top of your hand and place it at the base of your knuckles. Then, move the wrap around the hand so it rests along the base of the fingers. Do not include the thumb in the wrap.

Step 4

Place the wrap around your wrist, then through the space between the thumb and first finger. Wrap the thumb, then the palm. The wrap should now be sticking out from the little finger.

Step 5

Move the wrap around the hand so it comes up between the thumb and first finger once more. Then wrap the top of the knuckles and around the palm once again. The wrap should stick out from between the thumb and first finger. Wrap the thumb once more.

Step 6

Wrap the palm, then bring the wrap around the knuckle of the little finger, down the hand and around the wrist.

Step 7

Continue wrapping the knuckles, palm, thumb and wrist as laid out in steps three through six. Continue this pattern until the remainder of the Everlast hand wrap has been used. Place a wrap clip at the end to secure the warp.
