Overview

Xyience Xenergy Drink is the official drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC. It comes in several flavors: Orange Fuel, Cherry Rush, Citrus Slam and Lemon Blast. It contains several ingredients that boost energy, focus and endurance. If you are sensitive to stimulants or have high blood pressure, you should avoid Xyience.

Caffeine

Caffeine is a bitter substance contained in coffee, soft drinks, chocolate, tea and some medicines, and is a power and energy accelerant. According to Medline Plus, it stimulates the central nervous system and can make you more alert and give a boost to energy levels and can help to give more energy for powerful workouts. It also elevates the mood, increases muscle strength, increases metabolism, mental faculty and reduces asthma symptoms when taken in small doses.

Taurine

According to Mayo Clinic, taurine is an amino acid found naturally in fish, meat and breast milk and is also available as a dietary supplement. It is thought to have antioxidant properties and also aids in neurological development and regulating levels of water and mineral salts in the blood. Some studies point toward improvement in athletic performance with the help of taurine, and combined with caffeine, it is believed to enhance mental performance. Taurine is seen to expand cells by helping the muscle cell hold more water, increase cell volume and has also been shown to enhance energy, elevate mood and generate a general sense of well-being.

L-Carnitine

Other ingredients in Xyience Xenergy drinks are sodium citrate, carbonated water, citric acid, natural flavors, glucoronolactone, fruit and vegetable juice for color, guarana extract, sucralose, niacinamide, or vitamin B-3, d-calcium pantothenate, or vitamin B-5, cyanocobalamin, or vitamin B-12, acesulfame potassium, inositol, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, which are preservatives, and pyridoxine hydrochloride, or vitamin B-6.
