Scientific Basis of Living Fuel Superfood Products

Living Fuel's founder and CEO K.C. Craichy claims to have spent several years developing his company's products with some of the best superfood scientists. The result of his research is products that are low-calorie, nutrient-dense and low on the glycemic index. Living fuel reports that low-glycemic foods will prevent blood sugar levels from rising rapidly and help minimize insulin response. Living Fuel products are also designed to provide an adequate balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Purpose of Living Fuel Superfood Nutrition

According to the Living Fuel website, the body consistently needs more than 50 essential nutrients to maintain optimal health. Living Fuel states that those nutrients cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed through whole foods and supplementation. The purpose of Living Fuel's superfood nutrition is to provide individuals with as many of those essential nutrients as possible. Living Fuel claims to have combined the most powerful superfoods into its products for maximum results.

Living Fuel's Four Corners of Optimal Nutrition

Living Fuel follows a "Four Corners" approach to health and vitality. The four corners are calorie restriction with optimal nutrition, or CRON, which means consumption of nutrient-dense foods. The next corner is eating foods with a low-glycemic response. The third corner suggests consuming high-antioxidant foods, and the fourth corner includes consuming and supplementation of superfats. According to the Living Fuel website, all four corners work better collectively than separately, with each corner enhancing and improving the effects of the other.

Considerations

According to the Colorado State University Extension, superfoods cannot cancel out the effects of unhealthy habits. Dieters must be aware that lifetime healthy habits are necessary in order to maintain health. The Colorado State University Extension encourages dieters to start slowly and gradually incorporate superfoods into their diets. Doing so may help the new-found healthy eating habits stick. They also warn that some superfoods can be high in calories, so they should not be consumed in large portions.
