You don't have to spend a lot of money to perform a colon cleanse if you make a formula or remedy at home with products and ingredients you can find at your local grocery or natural health food store. Creating your own colon cleanse may be performed in a variety of ways and with a variety of ingredients and juices that suit your own tastes and needs. When making your own DIY colon cleanse formula or recipe, use organic products for optimal benefits and results.
Step 1
Combine pure unsweetened apple juice (organic and purchased from your local health food store) or juice approximately eight to 10 apples) and approximately 1/4 cup purified water. Add to that 1 tbsp of psyllium husk seeds. Mix thoroughly. Drink an 8-ounce glass of this recipe and then follow immediately by drinking 10 ounces of purified water mixed with 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar.
Step 2
Make a colon cleansing soup by combining two to three peeled and seeded cucumbers, the pulp of one to two avocados and 1/2 of a diced yellow onion. Add the juice of half a lemon and three cloves of garlic that have been sauteed or roasted. Add to 2 cups of organic vegetable broth or stock. Add to the mix 1 tbsp each of parsley and cilantro and one jalapeno pepper, seeds removed. Eat in 1 to 2 cup servings for effective results.
Step 3
Create a colon cleansing enema using regular water, a cheap and simple DIY colon cleanse. Purchase an enema bag from your local pharmacy. Boil approximately 1 gallon of tap water for about 30 minutes and allow to cool. Following instructions contained on the box or package of the specific type of enema bottle or bag you purchase, fill the pouch or bottle with the sterilized water. Introduce the water into your colon via the rectum, hold the fluid in as long as you can (10 to 15 minutes are ideal) and then evacuate into the toilet.
Step 4
Use a salt water flush. You'll need to heat about 1 quart of water and allow to cool to a comfortable temperature. Add 2 tbsp of sea salt to the water and pour into a clean glass or container. Drink the mixture as quickly as you can. It will taste terrible, but will provide nearly immediate but very effective results. The mixture should taste salty. If you experience only diarrhea, there is not enough salt in the mixture. Following this formula, some people experience some nausea and headache, but symptoms go away in an hour or so. Stick close to the bathroom for several hours following this recipe just to be on the safe side.
