Always consider the staff training when you choose a home health care agency. Interim Health Care is the nation's oldest home care and medical staffing company. Founded in 1966, there are more than 300 independently owned franchise locations nationwide. With a facility located in Phoenix, the company focuses on home care nursing offering a full medical staff and hospice services. Interim Health Care provides continuing education courses for its staff nurses. It also offers non-medical senior care services, which include companionship, homemaking, transportation and light housekeeping.

Alzheimer's Care

If you are needing a professional with Alzheimer's care training, most of the facilities in Phoenix can provide that service. At Home Health Exchange, nurses and caregivers are trained in Alzheimer's care by professionals through written testing and clinical in-services. The nurses are carefully screened and are licensed as Registered Nurses, Licensed Practitioners, certified aides or home health aides. They must pass a series of employment screenings, including drug tests, criminal background checks and clinical and written examinations. Background Checks

Cypress Homecare Solutions in Phoenix requires caregivers to complete training labs before assigning them patients. Cypress follows a curriculum-based training program provided by the American Red Cross, and all new caregivers receive training in CPR and first aid. Each caregiver must be licensed, bonded, CPR and First Aid Certified; must have a negative tuberculosis screening and must pass a 50 state background check and pre-employment drug screening.
