Numero Uno is a California pizza chain that was founded in 1973. According to the company's website, they are famous for their made-to-order deep dish pizza, but offer thin crust versions of their pizza's as well. The company suggests that each pizza, like their classic pepperoni, is made using fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables and spices.

Considerations

Each of Numero Uno's pepperoni pizza's are prepared with fresh sliced pepperoni, whole milk mozzarella cheese, onion, garlic, a blend of spices, and fresh tomatoes. The difference in calorie count, according to the company, is due largely to the fact that twice the amount of ingredients are used to prepare the deep dish.

The American Dietetic Association finds that the average calorie count for one meal should average between 300 and 400 calories, depending on your daily caloric count. They suggest that the average daily calorie intake is 1,200 to 1,500 calories for women and 2,000 to 2,200 calories for men.
