A regular beef soft taco includes 210 calories. This is 10 percent of your daily recommended caloric intake, according to MayoClinic.com. This is definitely not a high-calorie food item, but you can still find healthier soft tacos on the menu if you know where to look.

Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco

The Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco has carne asada steak, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa. This lower-calorie option is a safer bet with only 160 calories and only 40 calories from fat.

Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco

Avoid the Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco, according to Taco Bell, this menu item contains 270 calories. If you're in the mood for chicken, consider the Chicken Soft Taco. Since it isn't smothered in ranch dressing, this taco option is only 190 calories.
