While famous for hamburgers and fries, the Wendy’s fast food chain has enjoyed tremendous success with its menu’s side items like chili, baked potatoes and salads, such as the Southwest Taco Salad.

According to FatSecret.com, an entire Wendy’s Southwest Taco Salad contains 400 calories, including 200 calories from fat.
Nutrition
The Wendy’s Southwest Taco Salad provides 22 g fat, 11 g saturated fat, 1 g trans fat, 85 mg cholesterol, 1140 mg sodium, 800 mg potassium, 26 g carbohydrates, 7 g dietary fiber, 9 g sugar and 27 g protein. The salad also delivers 60% of the daily recommended value of vitamin A, 25% of vitamin C, 45% of calcium and 15% of iron.
Consideration
In the summer of 2010, Wendy’s overhauled its line of garden salads, replacing the Southwest Taco Salad with the Baja Salad, BLT Cobb Salad, Apple Pecan Chicken Salad and Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad. However, the Southwest Taco Salad may still be available in select markets.
