Sadkhin Diet Food

The Sadkhin diet, or Sadkhin Complex as it is also known, was developed by Dr. Grigory Sadkhin. Apparently, Dr. Sadkhin created the diet based on observations he had about people living until they were over 100 years old. The Sadkhin website claims to have 10,000 successful clients. The Sadkhin diet is restrictive in nature, so consult your physician before you start.

Philosophy

Dr. Sadkhin holds the belief that people become obese because their bodies have been thrown out of sync as a symptom of accelerated aging. The Sadhkin diet promises fast weight loss, and is designed as a 10-day plan, to be repeated as often as necessary to reach your target weight. One key element to the program is the patented "chrono stimulation technique." Dr. Sadkhin identified 16 acupressure points located behind the ears that he claims will suppress your appetite and enable you to eat less. If you wish to try the Sadkhin diet you must visit a clinic for an assessment, then an individualized plan will be created for you. Clinic addresses are listed on the Sadhkin website.

Foods to Include

The Sadkhin diet is quite restrictive and only includes three basic groups of foods. While on the diet, you will eat only fresh fruits and vegetables and drink glasses of whole milk. Dr. Sadkhin's research on aging led him to Georgia in Russia, where he realized many residents lived over 100 years in good health, and included fresh fruits, vegetables and milk as part of their diets. Dr.Sadkhin feels that your carbohydrate and fiber requirements are met with fruit and vegetables, and fat and protein requirements are met by the milk you drink while you are doing the weight loss portion of the diet.

Foods to Avoid

To follow the Sadkhin diet properly means to avoid all of the foods that aren't on the allowable foods list. Meats, processed foods, grains, fast foods, and normal junk foods are all off limits. The Sadkhin diet is based on the premise that these foods will result in an imbalance and accelerate the aging process, which will cause weight gain. The foods on the diet were chosen as a means to cleanse your body and keep your system balanced. It is also recommended to avoid any stimulants such as coffee and colas.

Claims

The Sadkhin diet attaches many claims to participation in the program. The website says following the Sadkhin diet is a drug-free, non-invasive way to stimulate your hypothalamus and control your hunger. It is said to cleanse your system, synchronize the function of your internal organs and balance your nervous system and endocrine system. You also have the potential to lose 5 to 10 percent of your excess body weight in the first 10 days of the diet.

Considerations

If you are lactose intolerant and want to try the diet, rice, oat or soy milk may be substituted for the milk. The program does not contain any exercise requirements or recommendations and discipline must be used to deal with such a restrictive eating plan. If you enjoy variety in what you eat, this system may cause you trouble. This is a fad diet, and may lead to nutrient deficiencies. Consult your physician before you begin the diet, and again if you experience any problems while you are on the diet.
