You can increase your metabolism using a few lifestyle changes.
Step 1
Eat small meals four to six times a day. Many people skip meals to lose weight, but this slows the metabolism and makes it harder to lose weight in the long run. Eating several small meals speeds up your metabolism and keeps you satisfied without going hungry. The key is to keep each meal healthy and stay away from fatty foods and snacks.
Step 2
Provide your body with the necessary calories to be active. When you starve the body, it starts to store calories for energy. Calories are the body's energy currency, so it adapts to low calories from poor eating habits. Eating well-balanced meals with enough calories triggers your body to burn the calories instead of storing them.
Step 3
