Quaker's Life cereal now comes in three varieties: original, maple and brown sugar and cinnamon. Before having Life cereal for breakfast, you should understand how a bowl will affect your daily caloric intake.
Calories
All three versions of Life cereal contain 120 calories in every three-quarter cup serving, Quaker reports. Of the total calories, 15 come from fat. Having the cereal with milk contributes to the calorie content in your breakfast. A half-cup of skim milk contains 40 calories.
Fat
Life cereals all contain 1.5 g of fat per serving. The fat includes 0.5 g of both polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat, with no saturated fat or trans fat. For a 2,000-calorie diet, the U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends that total fat intakes not exceed 65 g.
Sodium
Sodium concentrations vary slightly among the Life cereals. The original Life cereal has 160 mg of sodium, while the Cinnamon and Maple and Brown Sugar cereals have 150 mg, Quaker reports.
Carbohydrates
All three Life cereals have 25 g of total carbohydrates per serving. The carbohydrates in the cereal include 2 g of dietary fiber, which amounts to 8 percent of the recommended daily intake.
Protein
All three Life cereals contain a small amount of protein: 3 g per three-quarters cup serving.
