In 1914, Pittsburgh baker Philip J. Baur and a Boston egg salesman named Herbert T. Morris went into business together selling fresh baked goods. Their joint venture, located in Philadelphia, came to be known as the Tasty Baking Company, with its brand known as Tastykake. Today, Tastykake makes a wide range of baked goods, including cupcakes, coffee cakes, doughnuts and pies.
