Diet Pills Containing Colostrum

Colostrum is a milk-like substance that is produced by the mammary glands of mammals in the late stages of pregnancy prior to giving birth. According to the Institute for Colostrum Research, colostrum is composed of essential vitamins, nutrients, antibodies, and is rich in fat and protein. Colostrum is also loaded with growth factors called cytokines that stimulate cellular growth. Because of the high nutritional content, supplements that contain colostrum have gained popularity among athletes and bodybuilders. Bovine colostrum, which is derived from cows, is also marketed and utilized as a natural immune booster for children and adults. However, it should be noted that there is limited scientific evidence associated with the claimed benefits of colostrum supplementation.

Chewables

Colostrum diet pills are available in multiple formulations, including chewable tablets. Nutricology offers chewable, cherry-flavored colostrum pills that are designed for children. Nature's Plus is another manufacturer of chewable colostrum supplements that are vanilla malt flavored. Respectively, each product contains about 500 mg to 1,200 mg of colostrum per chewable tablet.

Tablets

Colostrum supplements are also available in non-chewable tablet form. Bricker Labs offers 60-tablet bottles of 1,000 mg colostrum tablets that can be taken with meals. Another tablet supplement is the Metabolic Diet GH Boost tablets that also contain 1,000 mg of colostrum and is accompanied by a number of additional vitamins and essential amino acids.

Capsules

Capsulated colostrum diet pills are probably the most abundant to choose from. According to the website BodyBuilding.com, there are more than 10 reliable manufacturers of colostrum capsules that come as both pure colostrum and vitamin supplement mixes. Some of these products include Ageless Foundation UltraMAX Gold Capsules and Now Colostrum Capsules.
