The SR12 is an older model Weslo treadmill that was manufactured in the late-1990s. The speed is adjustable from 0.5 to 10 miles per hour and the incline range is 3 to 10 percent. There are four preset workout programs: mountain, valley, interval or random. You can also use the SR12 in manual mode, which gives you complete control over the speed and incline settings. If you have problems with your SR12, first try troubleshooting the issue yourself. You may save yourself the expense of a professional repair.
The Power Doesn't Turn On
Step 1
Make sure the SR12 is plugged in properly. Weslo recommends using a surge protector, rated at 15 amps, to protect the treadmill from power surges. The surge protector must be plugged into a properly grounded outlet.
Step 2
Verify that the safety key is fully inserted into the console.
Step 3
Check the circuit breaker on the treadmill. The breaker is located at the front of the machine near the power cord. If the switch protrudes out, it has been tripped. Wait 5 minutes, then press the switch back in.
Step 4
Verify that the "on/off" switch is turned to the "on" position. The switch is located near the power cord.
The Console Doesn't Work
Step 1
Remove the safety key from the console. If the console displays an error code such as "E1" or "E2", you must reset the console.
Step 2
Wait 10 seconds.
Step 3
Reinsert the key. If the console still displays an error code, Weslo recommends calling the company directly.
Walking Belt is Off-Center
Step 1
Remove the safety key and unplug the treadmill.
Step 2
Use an Allen wrench to adjust the walking belt by turning the rear roller bolts on the back end of the unit. If the belt moves to the right, turn the left adjustment bolt 1/4 of a turn to the left. If the belt slips to the left, turn the left bolt 1/4 of a turn to the right.
Step 3
Plug in the treadmill and insert the key. Run the belt for a few minutes. Do not walk on the belt at this time. If the belt is still not centered, adjust again as directed in Step Two.
