Landice treadmills are considered to be high quality, reliable machines. Review websites such as treadmill-resource-center.com and treadmilladvisor.com rate Landice treadmills as some of the best on the market. The LX model is representative of the Landice L series treadmills, which include the L7, L8 and L9. The L series treadmills are available as Cardio Trainers, Pro Trainers, Pro Sports Trainers or Executive Trainers. The only difference between each trainer is the display. You can troubleshoot problems with the treadbelt on your Landice machine at home. Landice does not recommend ever removing the motor hood yourself.

Belt is Off-Center

Step 1

Run the treadmill between 6 to 8 mph.

Step 2

Find the adjustment bolts at the back end of the treadmill, one on each side.

Step 3

Adjust the treadmill belt while the machine is running. If the belt slips to the right, turn the right bolt, 1/4 turn, clockwise, and turn the left bolt, 1/4 turn, counterclockwise. If the belt slips to the left, turn the left bolt, 1/4 turn clockwise, and turn the right bolt, 1/4 turn, counterclockwise.

Step 4

Wait 30 seconds. Watch the belt to see if it is now centered. Adjust again, in 1/4-turn increments, as needed.

Belts Slips or Hesitates

Step 1

Walk on the treadmill at 1 mph. If the belt slips or hesitates, you need to adjust the tension of the belt.

Step 2

Use your hex wrench to adjust the tension of the belt. Tighten the belt by turning both bolts clockwise, 1/4 turn.

Step 3

Walk on the belt at 1 mph and check for slippage. Adjust again if necessary.

Step 4

Run on the belt at 5 mph. Once the belt runs smoothly at 1 mph, increase the speed to 5 mph. While jogging, feel for any slipping or hesitating of the belt. Adjust as directed in step two if needed.

Tips and Warnings
