Nature's Own has been offering a variety of fresh bread products since 1977. There are no artificial preservatives, trans fats or cholesterol in Nature's Own breads and each products is low in fat. The Honey Wheat Bread id made with enriched wheat flour, whole-wheat flour, rye flour, and wheat bran and is sweetened with honey. It is a way to add a serving of grains to your diet. According to the American Council on Exercise, three or more ounce-equivalents of whole-grain products should be consumed daily.
Calories
A 20 -z. loaf of Nature's Own Honey Wheat Bread offers 70 calories per slice and 5 of those calories are from fat. The 24-oz. loaf of Nature's Own Honey Wheat Bread contains 80 calories per slice with five of those calories coming from fat.
Reduced Calories
To appeal to those who are watching their calorie intake, Nature's Own created their most popular bread products with reduced calories. The reduced-calorie Honey Wheat Bread contains 35 calories per slice, which is one-third less then the regular Honey Wheat bread. Nature's Own claims that there is no taste difference in the reduced-calorie line of products and that the bread remains rich in fiber.
Types
Nature's Own Honey Wheat line consists of more than just loaves of bread. You can select from Honey Wheat Hot Dog Buns that are 100 calories per bun, Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls that are 130 calories per roll, and Honey Wheat Dinner Rolls that are 50 calories per roll. There is also a Honey Wheat breakfast line that includes English muffins that are 130 calories per muffin and bagels that are 260 calories per bagel.
