Microwave popcorn gives you a fast, convenient snack when you are watching movies or having a get-together with friends. Act II is one brand that has several varieties available. Before reaching into a bag of freshly popped popcorn, know the nutrition facts.

Carb Content

Carbohydrates are the body's fuel source. They are also known as macronutrients because your body needs them in high amounts. A cup of popped butter-flavored Act II contains 4 g of carbs.

Size

Calories vary depending on the type of popcorn you choose. The 94 percent fat-free type, for example, contains 15 calories per cup popped. A cup of Butter Lover's popcorn contains 30 calories.

Protein Content

Protein is a macronutrient, in similar fashion to carbohydrates. The body uses protein for cell repair. The 94 percent fat-free popcorn has about 1 1/4 g of protein per cup popped.

Fat Content

Saturated fat is one of the main contributors to elevated cholesterol, according to the American Heart Association. All of Act II popcorn is low in saturated and total fat. The butter-flavor variety, for example, contains 1 1/2 g of total fat and 1/2 g of saturated fat.

Sodium Content

Sodium is an electrolyte mineral that regulates blood volume and plays a role in muscle contractions. For healthy adults, the recommend daily intake of sodium is 2,300 mg, according to MayoClinic.com. One cup of popped Butter Lover's popcorn contains 60 mg of sodium.
