Highly Usable Protein in Foods

However, getting enough protein is important to more than just fat loss. It is a fundamental part of making sure your body has what it needs for overall health. The physical benefits delivered to your body through the consumption of protein are made possible by amino acids, which are the building blocks of the proteins in your body.

Whey

Whey protein is part of most dairy products. You can also obtain it in large quantities as a supplement in powder form, which is cultivated from cow's milk. Casein

Casein protein, like whey, is derived from milk. However, in contrast with quickly digested whey, casein protein is more slowly digested. Because it takes longer for casein protein to break down, it provides your body with a steady and long-lasting supply of amino acids, which benefits your muscles. For some individuals, however, casein protein has a downside: it can cause bloating.

Soy

In contrast with most plants, soybeans are a rich source of protein. Therefore, soy can provide protein to those who seek a diet that excludes foods from animal sources. In fact, soybeans are the only protein from plants that provides high levels of all nine essential amino acids. Because of its possible hormonal influence due to containing phytoestrogens, the frequent use of soy has been cautioned by some. However, this theory has not been substantially supported.
