Whole Milk
One serving of whole milk is 1 cup, and contains 149 calories with almost half, 72, coming from fat. The protein content of whole milk is 8 g per serving, or 32 calories.
Milk -- 2 Percent
The serving size for 2 percent milk is also 1 cup. The calorie total is slightly lower than that of whole milk with 138 calories per serving. The fat content is also slightly reduced with 45 calories per serving. The protein content is a bit higher at 10 g, or 40 calories per serving.
Skim Milk
Again the same serving size of 1 cup applies to skim or no-fat milk. The total calories for skim milk are drastically reduced at 83 calories per serving. There are no calories from fat while there are 32 calories from protein. Skim milk is the healthiest option when choosing milk.
