The golf at Myrtle beach is world-renowned and the courses are some of the most challenging you can find. The courses are designed to protect the indigenous plants and wildlife. Many of the golf courses were designed by famous architects and golfers, such as Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. The Beach
The beach is a big draw at Myrtle beach. It is 60 miles long and offers plenty of watersports. Try out one of the many activities offered on the beach, including windsurfing, kite surfing, para sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, surfing, fishing or boating.
Fishing
Myrtle Beach is famous for its saltwater fishing. Direct fishing access to the ocean is available or find a spot on one of the many channels and creeks that feed into the ocean. Make sure you have the proper equipment as most of the inshore fishing requires weights and sinkers to catch the fish that live on the ocean floor. Fishing shops offer fishing equipment for an extended fishing trip or just a day trip. There are also deep sea fishing charters for those fishermen looking to catch the big one.
Amusment and Waterparks
There are several amusement and waterparks to visit near the beach. Family Kingdom amusement park is right on the beach and has the largest Ferris wheel in the state. It offers some spectacular views of the ocean. MagiQuest is a live action game. Players will follow a quest and participate in adventures to win the game. Wild Water & Wheels is a water park that contains tube slides, mat slides, speed slides and more.
Live Entertainment
There are concert halls, dinner shows, live theater and variety shows to attend for some evening entertainment. Take in a celebrity concert, dinner theater, comedy, dance, or music show. The Grand Strand is the main theater at Myrtle Beach and puts on The Carolina Opry, a variety show that is not to be missed. Other theatres include the Palace Theatre, Alabama Theatre, South Carolina Theatre or the House of Blues.
