Rice Krispie Nutrition Facts

Kellogg's Rice Krispies is a popular breakfast cereal made from dehydrated and toasted grains of rice. Rice Krispies are most known for the popping and crackling sounds they make when combined with milk.

Ingredients

Rice, sugar, salt and malt flavoring are the major components in Rice Krispies. The cereal also contains iron and several vitamin substances, including ascorbic acid, Vitamin E, niacinamide, Vitamin A palmitate, riboflavin, thiamin hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D.

Calories & Fat

A serving size of 1 ¼ cups contains 130 calories with 0 calories from fat. Combining Rice Krispies with ½ cup of Vitamin A and D fat free milk increases the calorie total to 170.

Carbohydrates

Rice Krispies are not a major source of carbohydrates and make up only 10 percent of the recommended daily values. The cereal contains less than 1 g of dietary fiber and 4 g of sugar. A total of 25 g comes from other carbohydrates, such as the malt flavoring.

Nutrients

One serving of Rice Krispies provides a small amount of nutrients such as sodium, potassium and protein. It offers 2 g of protein, 30 mg of potassium and 190 mg of sodium. Having your cereal with milk increases the potassium by 6 percent and the sodium by 2 percent.

Vitamins

The popular Kellogg's cereal is a major source of vitamins, containing 25 percent or more of the recommended daily value of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin B6, folic acid, Vitamin B12 and iron.
