Razor bumps are a form of folliculitis that occur after shaving. The bumps are usually harmless and go away on their own, but in extreme cases, they can become inflamed or infected. If you have a particularly visible outbreak on our legs or face, you may want to hide them until they heal. If you chose to hide your bumps, only do so for the time you'll be out, then let them heal without makeup or concealers while you're at home.

Step 1

Apply a warm compress to the area, recommends MayoClinic.com. This will help soothe the rash and relieve some of the redness. Follow up with a soothing hydrocortisone cream. The less inflamed your razor bump is, the less noticeable it will be.

Step 2

Wear tights or stockings that match your skin color to conceal razor bumps on your legs.

Step 3

Grow out your beard if you regularly suffer from razor bumps on your face and neck. Growing out your beard will give your skin time to heal while also concealing razor bumps.

Step 4

Apply a light moisturizer to the area, then dab concealer over the bumps. Avoid applying too much concealer to avoid caking. Apply a light layer of foundation over the concealer, then set it with a translucent pressed powder, recommends Fitness magazine.

Step 5

Consider waxing and hair removal creams when your hair grows back to avoid razor bumps from occurring in the future. If you continue to shave, use a fresh, sharp razor each time. Use a thick shaving cream and shave in the direction of hair growth.
